David oversees business administration, business development and marketing for Epigeum. He also works with universities to identify their online training needs and establish new development groups.
David has an MBA from the Imperial College Business School and is also a graduate of Cambridge University.

David Lefevre is responsible for our development approach and the pedagogical design that we use in our courses. He oversees the course development team as well as the technical support team.
David is also Director of the Educational Technology Unit at the Imperial College Business School. The role of the unit is to facilitate the use of learning technology at the School and to advise management, faculty and staff on how technology can best be used to enhance teaching.
David is a qualified teacher who has been using computers in education since 1996. While at the British Council between 1996 and 2001, he worked on a number of high profile e-learning projects and pioneered the use of database driven online language learning materials.
David is currently researching instructional feedback in technology-based instruction as part of his PhD at Imperial College London. He also holds a Postgraduate diploma in language teaching and an MSc in Computer Science from Imperial College. David is a member of the HE Academy and is a regular speaker at eLearning conferences.
Senior Web Developer

James oversees the support of Epigeum's technical infrastructure including our learning portals, the library of electronic course content and the website. In addition James leads on the technical development of new courses.
James has worked as a website designer and multimedia developer for the last 8 years. He has produced websites, interactive learning resources, Flash animations, 3D models and video & audio recordings. He is also experienced in Virtual Learning Environments and database design and he has created and delivered training sessions on a variety of different software packages.
Flash Developer

Richard is responsible for the development of interactive elements within both new and existing courses. He works closely with the Senior Developer, in-house Designer and the editorial team.
Richard has a degree in Multimedia and Digital Entertainment from Northumbria University and worked in the digital industry for two years whilst studying for his degree. He specialises in the design and development of interactive media.
Digital Designer

Tom works with the development team as a digital designer and is responsible for the visual aesthetics and design of the courses and marketing material produced by Epigeum. He is trained in print and web design, illustration, animation & 3D modelling. Tom has a degree in Graphic Design from the University for Creative Arts and previously worked for the media department of a charity specialising in training, education and employment.
Senior Editor

Catherine oversees the editorial process, working closely with authors, development groups and other editors to ensure that our courses are of the best possible quality, and in line with our customers’ requirements.
Catherine has a degree in English Literature from the University of Oxford and nine years’ experience in educational and academic publishing. During her career she has worked on materials for a wide range of audiences, from pupils in their early teens to postgraduates.
Project Editor

Victoria works with Catherine on all stages of the editorial process to ensure the high quality of the course materials and to offer authors guidance and advice on writing their courses.
Victoria has a degree in History from the University of Durham and holds a Masters degree in Publishing from the London College of Communication. She has worked in educational publishing for four years, specialising in both printed and digital materials for schools and higher education.
Editorial Assistant

Emma works with Leah to assist the editorial team with developing new products. The key aspects of her role involve detailed desk editorial work, assisting with editing and proof-reading, and working to conceive and refine interactive activities.
Emma has a degree in English Literature and History and a Masters in Renaissance and Early Modern Studies from the University of York, in addition to a qualification in Editorial and Proofreading from the London School of Publishing. She previously worked for the British Suzuki Institute, a music education charity working to promote and develop the Suzuki ‘mother tongue’ approach to teaching music to young children, with the aim of enabling all children to play music beautifully and gain from the social benefits of music-playing, performance and interaction with fellow musicians.
Editorial Assistant

Leah has a BA in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge. As part of this degree, she spent a year in Berlin, working for Cornelsen Verlag, one of Germany’s leading educational publishers. She has also worked in primary education, teaching modern languages and providing support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
US Sales Manager

Eric Shotwell is responsible for sales and marketing for Epigeum in the United States and Canada. He has more than 20 years of experience in the higher education publishing and e-learning industry.
Before joining Epigeum, Eric worked in senior roles in textbook and e-learning sales for various major college publishers and also held roles as an editor, a trainer, and a technology consultant. He has presented and consulted on a wide range of topics including Customer Relationship Management software, assessment in e-learning, technology skills training, and software interface design.
Eric has a dual degree in English and Business Administration from Hope College, and is a member of the American Society for Training and Development and the Usability Professionals' Association. He also holds both the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) and the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications. Eric lives in Michigan with his wife and three children, and in his spare time enjoys golf, kayaking, travel and genealogical research.
Sales and Marketing Manager

Wendy is responsible for sales and marketing at Epigeum. She manages marketing and communication with Epigeum's expanding range of customers, all aspects of customer care and the sale of courses.
Wendy has an MBA from the Open University Business School, and is also a graduate from the Open University.

Business Development Manager

Clodagh is the Business Development Manager for Epigeum, and has over 12 years experience in selling Learning and Development solutions. She is passionate about learning and is focused on developing relationships with our customers and partners and providing the highest quality of service.

Office & Events Manager

Rhiannon is responsible for the day to day running of the Epigeum office, and assists all members of staff on projects as necessary. She is also responsible for coordinating workshops and conferences for all of our courses. She initially joined Epigeum as Production Coordinator, organising video filming in the UK and US for upcoming courses.
Rhiannon has a degree in Classics from the University of Cambridge, in addition to certificates in French and Italian from the University Language Centre. She followed this with a post-university gap year, in which she participated in an archaeological dig in Sicily, taught history in a local museum and undertook a curatorial internship at Tate Liverpool. She has also worked in education, teaching Greek and Latin to primary and secondary school pupils.
Finance Manager

Petruta is in charge of in-house accounts. She prepares bookkeeping and management accounts; performs credit control; and manages customer and supplier accounts.
Since 2001 Petruta has gained a wealth of accounting and business experience in the retail and manufacturing sectors of the UK and her native Romania. She is a student member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), currently studying to become chartered accountant.
