Student Skills Online

Note: This development group is now full

Student Skills Online is online training programme aiming to train students in the study skills they will need to get the most from their time at university.

 

In development with 11 universities and colleges from the UK and Ireland, these 15 courses will be highly interactive and modular in design, allowing for maximum flexibility in implementation. The courses are set at a fictitious university featuring a cast of characters and a number of distinguished guest interviews.

This project starts in September 2009 and aims to finish in June 2010.

 

The 12 courses are as follows:

STU003. Working at a distance/part-time study

STU004. Working in groups

STU005. Managing your time

STU006. Managing budgets

STU007. Revision and exams

STU008. Reading and information literacy

STU009. Academic writing - general

STU010. Academic writing - structures

STU011. Plagiarism

STU012. Presenting your work
