University and College Teaching

Note: This development group is now full

Teacher Training online is an online training programme for part-time lecturers and adjunct faculty. The courses can also serve as a cost-effective supplement to conventional teacher training.

In development with 16 universities from the USA, UK, Ireland and Pakistan, the project will eventually comprise 9 online courses, and 200 hours of associated post course activity that can contribute to a Teaching Portfolio and possible accreditation.

Professor Graham Gibbs is Lead Advisor. A host of well-known experts from the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia are contributing as authors and reviewers including Nancy Chism, Dee Fink, David Jaques, Vicky Lewis and David Boud.

Once completed (December 2010), each course will be modular in design, allowing for maximum flexibility in adoption. There will be a wealth of case study material of good practice from around the world and the material will be built to Epigeum’s usual high, pedagogic standards.
