Massey University has become the first Associate Member of Epigeum’s ‘University and College Teaching online’ collaboration.
Due to popular demand, Epigeum is releasing a very limited number of additional ‘Associate’ places in this collaboration. ‘Associate members’ receive a three-year licence on highly-discounted terms and the opportunity to complete a post-course evaluation on the project.
Epigeum’s 'University and College Teaching online' programme includes courses on lecturing, course design, marking and feedback, and supervisions, and will be ready for formal release in the summer of 2011. For further details, visit:

In development with 16 universities from around the world, the project will eventually comprise nine online courses and 200 hours of associated post-course activities that can contribute to a Teaching Portfolio and possible accreditation.
Once completed (summer 2011), each course will be modular in design, allowing for maximum flexibility in adoption. There will be a wealth of case study material of good practice from around the world and the material will be built to Epigeum’s usual high pedagogic standards.
Course authors include many renowned experts in the field: Professor Graham Gibbs (Oxford), Nancy Chism (Indiana), Mike Theall (Youngstown) and Vicky Lewis (Open University).
Massey University is a leader in distance and blended education in New Zealand. It is also one of only two New Zealand universities to consistently win national Tertiary Teaching Excellence awards – a total of 14 during the previous ten years.
