About Advising Doctoral Students
Advising Doctoral Students empowers universities to ensure that all faculty involved in advising candidates are well equipped to deal with emerging challenges in this continually-changing field. The program is designed to help both new and experienced doctoral advisors develop their ability to effectively mentor doctoral students and to support them in becoming independent researchers. The Advising Doctoral Students program has been adapted for US universities from the Supervising Doctoral Studies program, published for the International non-USA market in August 2014.
This course is for:
Doctoral advisors, department heads of graduate programs, and deans of graduate study.
