Becoming a Researcher provides the knowledge, skills, and understanding essential for researchers to begin their research journey with confidence.

Becoming a Researcher offers a solid understanding of Intellectual Property and supports the efficient management of research projects and surpervisor(s) relationships in three clear and concise courses: ‘Effective Management of Doctoral and Master’s Research’, ‘Intellectual Property in the Research Context’, and ‘Working with your Supervisors’.

  • Effective Management of Doctoral and Master’s Research: An Introduction

    This course supports you through the challenges of planning and carrying out your research project for your Ph.D., professional doctorate or Master’s degree. It offers an introduction to project management in the research context, and guide you through terminology, techniques, tools and frameworks as well as roles and responsibilities.

It has a proactive focus and aims to enable you to get the best out of your time with your supervisors, as well as offering potential approaches for navigating the common issues that can arise in these relationships.
