The Ethical Research programme takes an interdisciplinary approach which aims to train students in the core skills needed to become an ethical researcher. Available as Australian and International adaptations, reflecting local legislation, the programme consists of two courses:
- ‘Becoming an Ethical Researcher’ examines the fundamental principles of research ethics, covering
ethical values, decision-making, and challenges
- ‘Research Ethics in Practice’ explores the practical applications of ethics during a research project,
including working with human participants, approvals, confidentiality, and consent
Both courses explore ethics using a cross-disciplinary approach, and discuss ethical concerns in the social sciences, arts and humanities, STEM subjects, medicine and public health, and business.
