About Academic Integrity North America
The Academic Integrity program supports not only the imperative for ethical behavior in academia, but also the multidimensional cultural aspects of student success that underpin the college community and its reputation. The unique teaching and learning approach of Academic Integrity encourages community-oriented philosophy of education where students, faculty, and staff all share in the responsibility of upholding best practices for an integrity-positive environment. This training program includes courses aimed at each of these core audiences—students, faculty, and staff—to reinforce a culture of shared outcomes.
On completion of the course, students who are entering college or university for the first time will be well-positioned to adapt to the new environment and expectations; staff and faculty members will understand the importance of academic integrity and how they play a role in it; and faculty members will understand and execute precise ways in which to talk about integrity in the syllabus ensuring integrity is the norm and cheating is the exception in the classroom.
