In preparation for the launch of our new Academic Integrity programme, we visited the universities that contributed to its development to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with academic integrity today.
With growing pressure on institutions, staff, and students to perform at the highest level, grapple with “information overload”, and operate alongside increasingly sophisticated contract cheating services, are we facing more threats to our academic integrity than ever before? Some of these challenges are explored in the following video.
From clearly communicating the value of the task in question and sharing assessment schedules in advance, to encouraging peer-to-peer awareness-building or highlighting the private and public risks involved, there are many ways to support students in developing an understanding of academic integrity – some of which are outlined in this video.
Developed in collaboration with over twenty higher education institutions, our new online programme will facilitate a consistent and unified approach to academic integrity training – ensuring clarity and confidence among both staff and students. Publishing in March 2019, Academic Integrity can be integrated into your existing online training provision or accessed via our dedicated online platform.
