Getting the most from your Epigeum courses

Feedback from the Supervising Doctoral Studies and Statistical Methods for Research implementation workshop

We may feel a sense of relief when we hit ‘publish’ on our latest course but that doesn’t last for long. We know it’s just the start of the journey for our ‘development group’ of universities and one we guarantee to be part of- every step of the way.

For the development group members of our Supervising Doctoral Studies and Statistical Methods for Research groups this journey started last month at the implementation workshop for the newly-launched courses. 15 academics gathered at Imperial College London to learn more from the Epigeum Senior Learning Consultant Leah Holroyd about how to make best use of the new courses, including options for customisation, advice on blended learning, ideas for promotion and the ongoing support available to all.

As always this was a highly interactive session where attendees shared ideas, experiences and approaches and got practical, tailored advice about ways to implement the courses at their institution to maximise success.

Here’s what some of the delegates had to say:

“A highly productive, well-structured and led session. I have 2 pages of ideas/action to follow up.”

“Interesting to hear how other institutions are planning to use the course. Great to meet the Epigeum team. Very useful information on promotion… Not sure what support will be required at the moment, but understand and appreciate that Epigeum team are always willing and able to help when required.”

“It’s fantastic to see so much enthusiasm for both courses and we look forward to visiting some of these universities in the near future to see how they are using the courses.”

Thank you to all who attended and made the event such a success.
