Launch of new online programme Academic Success: Skills for Learning, Skills for Life

December 4, 2015
Help ensure your undergraduates are well informed about the exciting years ahead, aiding retention and increasing student confidence

Deciding to go to university is a significant investment and students are keener than ever to see a ‘return’ in terms of value for money, career prospects and employability. Epigeum is thrilled to announce the release of Academic Success: Skills for Learning, Skills for Life, a brand new online programme designed to support students in their first crucial weeks in higher education, and even before they arrive on campus.

Academic Success: Skills for Learning, Skills for Life comprises three online courses suitable for all students ranging from part-time to mature learners. The courses will empower and inspire students to help ensure their time at university is fulfilling and successful, and tackle the challenges many universities may face in the increasingly competitive and scrutinised world of higher education.

The courses are authored and reviewed by experts in student engagement and study skills. Lead advisors for the programme included  Elisabeth Dunne, Director of  REACT at the University of Winchester and Professor Ella Ritchie, OBE, Emeritus Deputy Vice Chancellor at Newcastle University.

Lisa Flannery, a student from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology in Ireland stated that “The Academic Success programme … would have made my transition less stressful and given back time that was consumed by trying to figure things out”.

All our courses are created in collaboration with a group of universities and this programme had involvement from 13 international institutions. Find out more about Epigeum’s collaboration process here.

The Head of Academic Partnerships at Epigeum, Wendy Harbottle, would be delighted to provide free trial access for any institutions interested in learning more about this new programme.
