What’s the best piece of teaching advice you’ve been given?

April 29, 2019

As we prepare for the launch of our new online training programme, University Teaching: Core Skills, we visited the institutions which contributed to its development to discuss their favourite pieces of teaching advice.

The responses were varied and inspiring – emphasizing the importance of being true to oneself, remaining open to different approaches and feedback, accepting the impossibility of pleasing everybody, and ultimately, remembering to enjoy the process.

Coming soon: University Teaching: Core Skills

Developed in collaboration with international experts and institutions, this flexible and interactive ‘teaching toolkit’ addresses growing trends in higher education, including student wellbeing, employability, and online learning – ensuring that new, early career, and part-time teaching and learning support staff have access to consistent, comprehensive training.

Publishing in July 2019, University Teaching: Core Skills can be integrated into your existing online training provision or accessed via our dedicated online platform.
