Introduction:
Research Impact: Creating Meaning and Value will teach the fundamentals of research impact – what it is and how it can be embedded into every step of the research journey – to help support universities in embedding a broader culture of research impact. The themes of engagement and collaboration will run throughout the programme.
While reference will be made to various national impact assessment exercises and specific funding requirements in different regions, the course will identify universal skills mapped to the research journey, and is therefore relevant to an international audience.
Modules:
The programme will be made up of 5 modules, approximately 40 minutes each, following the impact journey:
Module 1: Introduction: defining research impact
Module 2: Planning and co-production
Module 3: Evidencing impact
Module 4: Dissemination and engagement
Module 5: Monitoring and evaluating impact throughout the research lifecycle
Development Group Process:
Each of our programmes is built in close collaboration with a group of universities known as the ‘Development Group’. Members of this group pay a one-off contribution and then partner with us to peer-review the courses and gain a license to the courses in perpetuity. By joining the development group, you’ll work alongside fellow experts and the best in your sphere internationally – creating extensive networking opportunities and career-enhancing experiences.
Sign up between January and March 2022. The development group workshop will take place in June 2022.
