University Teaching: Core Skills

Enhance teaching quality in online, blended, and face-to-face environments

Developed under the guidance of a panel of international experts and higher education institutions, this flexible and interactive “teaching toolkit” provides consistent, comprehensive training for all new, early career, and part-time teaching and learning support staff, including teaching assistants, librarians, study support tutors, and lab demonstrators. Covering trends such as working with students as partners, student wellbeing, and online and blended learning approaches, this mobile-responsive programme can be embedded into your Virtual Learning Environment or accessed via our dedicated online platform.

Two versions of University Teaching: Core Skills are available for subscription: a universal version, and a version mapped to the Professional Standards Framework. Featuring a diagnostic tool and modules that are clearly linked to the PSF, this version of the programme is ideal for teaching and learning support staff applying for Associate Fellowship with Advance HE, as it provides a means of evidencing their progress and reflections in order to formally attain their “D1” accreditation.
